interline agreement between Tam and JetBlue

August 25, 2011 | By More

Brazil’s Tam and the American JetBlue have entered into an interline agreement allowing one company to sell flights operated by the other. As a result of the agreement, passengers will be a able to issue the entire trip on a single e-ticket and will be able to check-in their lugagge to their final destination. An interline agreement is not a code-share agreement and there will be no rewards accumulated flying with the other company.

Thanks to the agreement, Tam will be able to offer their passengers flying to the U.S. connecting flights to 30 American cities (with the JetBlue flight code). Likewise, JetBlue will be able to sell their American customers connecting flights from Rio or São Paulo (with the Tam flight code).
