American Airlines gets 17 more frequencies to fly to Brazil

It was all over the news. American Airlines requested from the US Department of Transportation permission to operate a further 17 weekly flights between the US and Brazil. And the permission was granted.

The airline intends to add flights from its Miami and New York hubs to several Brazilian destinations (including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro). The airline would also split its current MiamiRecifeSalvador flight into two five-times-a-week direct flights MiamiRecife and MiamiSalvador.
