new weekly flight Madrid – Salvador de Bahía

February 10, 2009 | By More

The presence of the two large Spanish-owned Iberostar hotels alone leaves no doubts as to the importance of the state of Bahia for Spanish investors. With the uncertainty left by the withdrawal of Air Europa, the authorities of the north eastern states are doing all they can think of to attract new tourists to the region (Brazilian Northeast states chasing flights from Europe).

The new charter flight Madrid [MAD] – Salvador de Bahía [SSA] will respond, albeit in a modest manner, to this demand. It is already flying between Madrid and Salvador, on Tuesdays. The Madrid – Salvador flight leaves at 14:30 an arrives at 19:40 (in both cases, local time). It leaves from Salvador at 21:40 and arrives in Madrid at 10:10 the following day. From Spain to Brazil the fight takes 9 hours and 10 minutes. On the way back, it takes 8 hours and a half.

The flight is operated by Iberworld in code share with Iberia.
