GOL: flights for 99 reais

Gol has just launched a promotion for Brazilian residents: Férias com Preço de ônibus.

The conditions are:

Purchase: from 28 November 2008 to 14 February 2009
For flights: from 25 December 2008 to 28 February 2009
Rules: purchase at least 14 days prior to departure; minimum stay of 10 nights. For domestic flights.

Gol has another promotion with prices that vaguely resemble a true sale. The name is “6 destinos a 99 reais cada” although an alternative title could be “Congonhas for all”. It is offering flights from and to Congonhas for 99 reais.

Purchase: between 28 November 2008 and 8 January 2009
For flights: between 24 December 2008 and 8 January 2009.
Rules: purchase at least 3 days prior to departure.

The return of the promotions should be understood in the context of the beginning of the operations by newcomer Azul, the spectacular cash-flow generated by the airlines with the outrageously priced tickets of the last few months, and a level of occupancy lower than expected.
