Colombian airline Avianca, part of the Sinergy group (controller of the Brazilian OceanAir) is going to merge with Taca. Sinergy will be in control of the new airline resulting from the merger. It seems that on an initial stage both companies will co-exist as part of the same group only to fully merge at a later stage.
