Air France and Klm, promotional fares to Europe

Klm is offering promotional fares to Europe departing from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Departures from other capitals add 100 USD to the value of the fare.
Flying economy, there are fares (taxes not included) from 719 USD to Barcelona, London, Milan and Paris for web purchases until 31 August 2009. Departure no later than 30 November 2009.
Executive class (taxes not included) for 2162 USD to Brussels and Madrid and 2350 USD to Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt.
Air France has similar fares on its website. Fares from 719 USD to Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Lisbon, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Vienna, Valencia and Zurich. Purchases until 31 August 2009 and flights from 19 September to 8 December 2009.

TAM initiates proceedings to join the Star Alliance

Tam was formally invited to join the Star Alliance. Between 12 and 18 months will have to pass before the Brazilian airline is fully integrated with the other members of the alliance. Tam wants the Star Alliance operations to be based at Guarulhos airport in São Paulo.
In the meantime, Tam put and end to its alliance with Air France and Air Canada. On the waiting list, Swiss and BMI.
