Aerolíneas Argentinas has become the first South American airline to join the SkyTeam alliance, formed by nearly twenty companies. Among its members, there are several currently flying to Brazil, including Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Korean Air and newcomer Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Argentina’s airline Aerolíneas Argentinas are negotiating with the Brazilian aviation authorities a direct flight between Río de Janeiro and Bariloche. According to Panrotas, Aerolíneas Argentinas is announcing a new flight from Mendoza to São Paulo/Guarulhos via Córdoba. The airline intended to launch the new flight in October but the problems associated with the eruption of the Chilean vulcano have forced the company to postpone the launch to an undefined date.
