Taca, the Central American airline, has plans to increase its number of flights from Porto Alegre to Lima. The company wants to double the amount of weekly flights, currently three, to six. The increase would take place during the first quarter of 2012.

Avianca, currently flying from São Paulo to the capital of Colombia, is launching on 5 November a new flight from Rio de Janeiro to Bogotá. There will be three daily flights, departing from Rio de Janeiro on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and taking off from Bogotá on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
