If you are reading this on a page other than the D Airfare it is an unauthorized use of the blog material.

As the North American airlines are reassessing their routes (cancelling the less lucrative ones and replacing large-sized aircraft with smaller planes on some routes) and the dollar in Brazil had a low exchange rate (note we’re using the past here), airlines decided to use larger and more modern aircraft on their flights to Brazil.

By doing so they offer a better service while increasing the number of seats available per flight – we are talking about airplanes with more seats than the ones they are replacing.

Both Air Canada and United Airlines will fly B777’s. The Canadian airline begins its daily São Paulo – Toronto flights with a B777-300 on 1st December. United will use a B777 on its São Paulo to Chicago daily flight from 25 October. Initially, the aircraft will only stay until the end of the high season. We would like them to stay for good!
